2018 MOA Winter Seminar Speakers

2018 MOA Winter Seminar - Human Trafficking

This course will inform attendees on all aspects of human trafficking including: the definition and types of human trafficking; the scope of the problem in Michigan and the U.S. and common venues where trafficking occurs. Information provided will enable optometrists to identify victims of human trafficking by recognizing common warning signs and review the legal obligations to report or intervene on behalf of suspected victims.

  • Licensees renewing in 2017 must complete training by renewal in 2019.
  • Licensees renewing in 2018 must complete training by 2020.

Please note: This is a one-time training that is separate from continuing education.
